Genesis 2: 2-3

 Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their hosts. By the seventh day God completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.

And so creation is completed. The biospere we know as earth is set up to sustain life. The Lord is set for to be the light of the word. All life is created and roaming the heavens and the earth. God rested. Not because He needed to but as an example to us.  Our bodies and souls need rest.  And not just rest but a time to celebrate what He had created, through us, in us, for us.  I time to let Him know we know who He is. I time to reflect and realize that all things are His and through Him we have complete access to those things.  God is also preparing for what is to come.  For this is the last of peace on the earth for some time.  Soon very soon mankind was going to turn God's amazing creation on its ear.

 Make sure to take time to rest and reflect before going out into the world "to tackle" it.  Prayer is our most amazing, powerful and underrated weapon.  We must remember to keep it at the ready.  We do not have to bow our heads and fold our hands together to be in prayer. We do need to show respect and be humbled by who we are talking to.  Amazingly we use prayer as our last option. It takes practice to make it foremost in our lives.  If we can train our minds, body and soul to the importance of prayer our lives would change exponentially.

Exodus 20:8-11

“Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a sabbath of the Lord your God; in it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter, your male or your female servant or your cattle or your sojourner who stays with you. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day and made it holy.

Exodus 20:8-11

“Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a sabbath of the Lord your God; in it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter, your male or your female servant or your cattle or your sojourner who [a]stays with you. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day and made it holy.

Exodus 31: 17

17 It is a sign between Me and the sons of Israel forever; for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day He ceased from labor, and was refreshed.”

 Hebrews 4:4

For He has said somewhere concerning the seventh day: “And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”;

Hebrews 4:10

10 For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His.
So my biggest problem isn't the fact that I get interrupted and miss days, weeks month, though it is annoying, no my biggest problem is that I get frustrated when I can't get to something, like this blog, and I let it get to me. I let Satan sneak in and attack.

So here's the deal.  I am always trying to get through the bible and I always get sidelined.  And then I feel like I need to start from the beginning.  But that really isn't true. God isn't about time but about truth and loving His word.  So, I will still be doing the walk through the bible and I will do it when I can. I will try and be consistent but life happens between these posting and I will ask for you patience as I traverse through not only the scripture but through life as well. Blessing to all. Mary
